When a Windows 10 volume licence still makes sense

Being straight about this: in 2026, a Windows 10 fleet deployment is a bridge, not a destination. It is the right call in three cases:

Organisations can subscribe to the commercial ESU programme, which extends coverage to October 2028 at the latest, with the per-device price increasing each year. ESU is purchased from Microsoft or a licensing partner and is separate from the licence itself.
