Yes. LicenGold is an independent online store that has been selling Microsoft Windows and Office license keys since 2025. Every order comes with an invoice, and our customers review us publicly on Trustpilot.

Yes. Every Windows and Office key we sell is a Microsoft product key that activates through Microsoft's own activation servers. We do not sell cracked, pirated or modified software, and if a key does not activate we replace it or refund you in full.

LicenGold is an independent reseller: we buy product keys in bulk from third-party software suppliers and resell them individually. We are not Microsoft and not a Microsoft partner. What you can check yourself is that every key activates through Microsoft's own activation servers, and if it does not, we replace it or refund you in full.

Under EU law (confirmed by the Court of Justice of the European Union in the UsedSoft ruling) and similar principles elsewhere, the resale of legitimately licensed software is legal, provided the original license is properly transferred and not duplicated.

We buy keys in bulk from third-party suppliers, run a digital-only business with low overhead and keep a small margin. We do not create or duplicate keys: we resell them.

No. LicenGold is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft, Windows and Office are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.

Activation is the check: when you enter the key, Microsoft's activation servers validate it. If a key is invalid or already used elsewhere, activation fails and we replace it or refund you in full.

We only collect what is needed to process your order and deliver your key: your email address and billing details. Payments are handled by our payment provider on the secure Shopify checkout. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes. We serve individuals, freelancers, small businesses and IT departments, with multi-activation keys for 5 or 10 PCs designed for business and school deployments.

The available payment methods are shown at checkout: major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club) and Google Pay.

Yes. Payments are processed by a PCI-compliant payment provider on Shopify's secure checkout. LicenGold never sees or stores your full card details.

Orders are charged in US dollars. If the site shows you prices in another currency, they are estimates: your bank converts the USD amount at its own exchange rate.

No, you can check out as a guest. Creating an account lets you view your order history and re-access your license keys anytime under 'My Orders'.

Applicable taxes are calculated automatically at checkout based on your billing location and displayed before you confirm payment.

Because digital keys are delivered instantly, orders generally cannot be cancelled once the key has been sent. Contact us immediately if you made a mistake and we will help if the key has not been used.

Yes, promotional codes are sometimes available and shown in the bar at the top of the site. Check it for the current code before checking out.

Yes. You can add several products or increase the quantity in your cart, and each license key is delivered by email.

No minimum order value applies. For very large business orders (50+ activations), contact us directly for a custom quote.

Prices can change with promotions and supplier costs, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that order.

License keys are delivered automatically by email, usually within 1–5 minutes of payment confirmation, 24/7.

First check your spam or promotions folder. If you still don't see it after 30 minutes, contact us with your order number and we will resend it.

If you created an account, you can also find your order in 'My Orders'. Keep the delivery email: it contains your key, the download link and the activation guide.

Yes. Every delivery email includes your 25-character product key, an official Microsoft download link and a step-by-step activation guide.

Yes. We only provide links to Microsoft's own servers and official installers or ISO files, never third-party or modified installers.

Yes. You can download the latest official installer or ISO again from Microsoft's website and activate it with the same key.

A standard 25-character Microsoft product key in the format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.

No. All our products are digital: there is no physical shipping, packaging or waiting for delivery.

In rare cases, such as a payment verification by your bank, delivery can take longer than 5 minutes. If nothing arrives within 30 minutes, contact us with your order number.

Yes, an invoice is generated automatically and sent to your email after every purchase, useful for business expense records.

Go to Settings → System → Activation → Change product key, enter your 25-character key, then click Activate. Activation usually completes within seconds when you are online.

Yes, your PC must be online at the moment of activation so Windows can verify the key with Microsoft's servers.

This usually means the key does not match your Windows edition, or has reached its activation limit. Contact us with your order number and a screenshot: we check it and replace the key if needed.

Yes. You can install Windows without a key and enter it afterwards via Settings → System → Activation → Change product key.

Go to Settings → System → Activation. It shows 'Windows is activated' and how the license is activated.

Your key has been validated and linked to your device's hardware ID (and optionally your Microsoft account), so Windows reactivates automatically if you reinstall it on the same PC.

Microsoft offers phone activation as a backup for some keys, available with the 'slui 4' command. If activation still fails, contact us with your order number.

No, product key activation works without a Microsoft account, although linking one makes reactivation after hardware changes easier.

Usually a few seconds once the key is entered and validated online.

No. Once activated, a Windows license (Retail or OEM) does not expire. Transfer rules depend on the license type: Retail can be moved to another PC, OEM cannot.

Install Office from the official Microsoft link provided, open an app such as Word, go to File → Account → Change Product Key, and enter your 25-character key.

It depends on the license. Some versions ask you to sign in and link the key to your Microsoft account for easier reinstallation; the activation guide in your email explains the steps for your product.

In Word or Excel, go to File → Account → Change License and enter your product key there. If it still fails, contact us with a screenshot.

No. Our Office 2024 and Office 2021 licenses are for Windows PCs only. Mac users need Microsoft 365 or the Mac version of Office directly from Microsoft.

You can reinstall on the same PC as often as needed. A single-PC key stays valid for reinstalls on that same machine.

Check your internet connection, temporarily disable your VPN or firewall, make sure your system date and time are correct, then try again.

Yes. Uninstall any Office or Microsoft 365 trial before installing your purchased Office 2024 license to avoid activation conflicts.

A single-PC license activates on one computer only. For several computers, choose our 5-PC or 10-PC multi-activation Office keys.

No. Office 2024 and Office 2021 are one-time purchases with no subscription, and the apps keep working. Security updates do have an end date: Office 2024 receives them until 9 October 2029, while Office 2021 support ended on 13 October 2026.

Open any Office app → File → Account. It displays 'Product Activated' under Product Information when activation was successful.

A Retail license can be moved: you remove it from the old PC and activate it on a new one. An OEM license is permanently tied to the first PC it activates on and cannot be moved. OEM is cheaper for that reason.

Choose a Retail license. It can be transferred to new hardware, unlike OEM, which stays locked to the original machine.

One key that activates several PCs (5 or 10), designed for businesses, schools and IT departments that equip many devices at once. Each PC uses one activation.

It works on any compatible PC, but it is priced for several devices. For a single home PC, a Retail or OEM key is more cost-effective.

No. OEM and Retail activate the same edition with the same features and security; the only difference is transferability.

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run 'slmgr /dli'. The description shows the channel, for example RETAIL, OEM or VOLUME_MAK.

No, the license type is fixed by the key you bought. If you need transferability, buy a Retail key.

Yes. The edition (for example Windows 11 Pro) has identical features; only the activation model changes.

OEM keys are usually the most affordable option, ideal if you will not move the license to another PC.

Yes. Many businesses use multi-activation keys for most machines and Retail keys for occasional individual PCs; both coexist without conflict.

A supported 64-bit processor at 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, TPM 2.0, UEFI with Secure Boot, and a DirectX 12 compatible graphics card.

Pro includes everything in Home plus BitLocker encryption, Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V virtualization, Group Policy management and domain or Microsoft Entra ID join, features aimed at business and power users.

No longer for home users. Mainstream support ended on 14 October 2025 and consumer Extended Security Updates ended on 13 October 2026. Businesses can buy commercial Extended Security Updates from Microsoft until October 2028 at most. We recommend Windows 11 for any PC that supports it.

Yes. If you have an activated Windows 10 license and compatible hardware, the upgrade through Windows Update is free and no new key is required.

Use Microsoft's free 'PC Health Check' tool. Many PCs from 2018 onward qualify, although TPM 2.0 is sometimes disabled in the BIOS and needs enabling.

Yes. Download the official ISO from Microsoft, create a bootable USB drive and perform a clean installation, which is recommended for the best long-term performance.

First check whether TPM is present but disabled in your BIOS (fTPM on AMD, PTT on Intel): enabling it often solves the problem. Tools that bypass the requirement exist but are not supported by Microsoft. Staying on Windows 10 means no consumer security updates since 13 October 2026.

You can install Windows 11 without activating it, but it shows a persistent watermark and limits personalization. A valid license is required to use it properly.

Press Win + R, type 'winver' and press Enter: it shows your exact Windows edition, version and build number.

Within 10 days of upgrading, via Settings → System → Recovery → Go back. After that, you need a clean install of Windows 10 with a valid license, keeping in mind that it no longer receives consumer security updates.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and OneNote, as a one-time purchase. Publisher is not included because Microsoft retired it, and Teams is a separate free download from Microsoft.

Office 2024 is a one-time purchase with no ongoing fees. Microsoft 365 is a monthly or annual subscription that includes cloud storage, continuous feature updates and Copilot.

Office 2024 receives security updates from Microsoft until 9 October 2029. Office 2021 support ended on 13 October 2026. New features are reserved for Microsoft 365 subscribers.

Yes. Office 2024, Office 2021 and Microsoft 365 use the same .docx, .xlsx and .pptx formats.

Yes, Office 2024 and Office 2021 run on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit).

No. Since 2024 Microsoft distributes Teams separately from Office. The free version can be downloaded from Microsoft and works alongside Office 2024.

Check first whether your school offers free Microsoft 365 Education. If not, a one-time Office 2024 license is often the most cost-effective long-term option.

Office runs in 'reduced functionality mode': you can view documents but not edit or save changes until you activate with a valid key.

Yes. Word, Excel and PowerPoint work fully offline once installed and activated; internet is only needed for activation and optional cloud features.

No. Office 2024 does not include the 1 TB of OneDrive storage that comes with Microsoft 365. A free Microsoft account gives you 5 GB.

Refunds are possible within 30 days for keys that were not delivered, not used or proven defective. Activated keys and wrong purchases are not refundable. Full details are in our refund policy.
