Deploying at 10 seats
At this size it is worth using the Office Deployment Tool rather than clicking through ten installers. A single configuration XML lets you set the channel, the language, the 64-bit build and the apps to exclude, then push the same silent install to every machine.
Two things that cause most of the support tickets at this scale:
- Leftover installations. Any pre-existing Office — including a trial or an OEM Microsoft 365 stub — should be removed before installing. This is the single most common activation failure.
- Add-in and macro compatibility. If the client relies on a legacy add-in that requires 32-bit Office, decide that before deployment, not after ten machines are done.
Keep a record of which machines have been activated. With ten activations in one pool, an undocumented rebuild halfway through the year is how businesses run out unexpectedly.

How does the 10-PC multi-activation key work?
The key carries a pool of 10 activations. Each computer draws one from the pool when it activates against Microsoft's servers. The machines activate independently and can have completely different hardware, so mixed fleets are not a problem.
Which applications are included?
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and OneNote. Publisher is not included: Microsoft retired it and it is not part of any Office 2024 edition. Teams is also not included — since 2024 it is distributed separately by Microsoft and can be installed free on all ten machines.
Is this a one-time purchase or a subscription?
One-time purchase. No recurring fee on any of the ten installations and the licence does not expire. Microsoft supplies security updates until 9 October 2029, after which the software keeps working but stops receiving patches.
Can I deploy this silently across a fleet?
Yes. Use the Office Deployment Tool with a configuration XML that specifies the architecture, language and apps to install, then run the same silent installation on each machine. This is far more reliable at ten seats than running the interactive installer ten times.
What happens when a machine is rebuilt or replaced?
A rebuild on the same hardware normally reactivates without consuming an extra activation. Replacing a machine outright does consume one from the pool. If you exhaust the pool through legitimate rebuilds, contact us with your order number and we will look at it case by case.
I need more than 10 seats — what are my options?
Activations cannot be added to an existing key, so contact us before buying if you expect to exceed ten. We quote larger deployments directly rather than having you stack multiple keys, which is harder to track and usually more expensive.
How quickly is the key delivered?
Instantly by email after payment, typically within 1–5 minutes, with the official ISO download link and the deployment guide. Check your spam folder before contacting support if it has not appeared.
